Let’s be honest!

Let’s be honest! Who likes eyeglasses anyway? How many times have you wanted to throw them away as far as you could?
What’s the solution? Contact lenses. Almost anybody can use them from children to pensionaries and nowadays they are easy to purchase.
There are two major types of contact lenses: soft contact lenses and hard contact lenses. (Semi-hard contact lenses are made of a gas permeable material).
Soft contact lenses are in fact made of a very thick, flexible plastic that absorbes tears through its tiny holes. If you put them on a dry surface, they will shrivel up and vaporize.
Due to their softness they can easily be attached to the eyeball, copying its shape. The more water they can absorbe, the healthier they are, but they still need to be changed regularly.
Every contact lense has to be thrown away after a while, and if they are worn more than they should be, problems might occur. These problems usually appear after 5-10 years, when people start spending more money needlessly on expensive eye contacts, because of inflamations and allergic reactions that make them imbarable.
The best sollution is to wear daily lenses, though they cost more. These lenses were created for casual wear. Monthly lenses can be used for a long period of time if they are properly stored.
Never look for cheap lenses because they might cause diseases.
Therapeutic contact lenses can only be used with the doctor’s advice in case of some disease while colour contact lenses were made for those that want to change their eye color.
Hard lenses are healthier and they can last a lifetime if they are regularly changed. Since they don’t fit the shape of the eye perfectly, they can correct astigmia at a higher level. However it takes about two weeks for the eye to get used to feeling a foreign body. You can clean them with your fingertips, some people use their tongues.
There are numerous types of contact lenses that you can choose from, it is up to you whether you are going to put down those old glasses or not!
